The USA Patriot Act
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism, money laundering activities and other financial crimes, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you: when you obtain a financial product or service offered by us, we may ask for your name, mailing address and other information or documentation, such as a copy of your driver’s license or other identifying documents, to verify your identity and otherwise comply with the applicable federal laws and regulations.
WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED? The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us.

SMS consent will not be shared with any third party and affiliates for marketing, nor will the phone numbers for SMS purposes.
Colorado Consumer Privacy Act (CPA)
On January 1, 2023, the Colorado Consumer Privacy Act secured new privacy rights for Colorado consumers. - Right to delete. Consumers have “the right to delete personal data concerning the consumer.”
- Right to data portability. Consumers have “the right to obtain a personal data in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format that allows the consumer to transmit the data to another entity without hindrance.”
- Right to opt out. Consumers have “the right to opt out of the processing of personal data concerning the consumer for purposes of:
- targeted advertising;
- the sale of personal data, or
- profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning a consumer.”

Use of Cookies

If you link your bank account information as a part of applying for or receiving the Services, we will have read- only access to such information. You are responsible for securing and maintaining the privacy of your banking credentials and account information. We are not responsible for protecting any information we share with a third-party based on an account connection that you have authorized.
We Do Not Collect Information From Children
We do not knowingly solicit or collect any type of information from a person under the age of 13. If you learn that a child has provided us with personal information in violation of this Privacy Policy, then you may alert us at Privacy@firstamericanfunding.com and we will remove that information from our records as soon as feasibly possible.
